Pricing
Sessions
Sessions are priced at $193.99 per hour. This involves 50mins of face-to-face intervention and 10mins of required documentation.
Travel costs are in addition to the cost of the therapy session and are charged by 15 minute increments at $48.49. If the therapist needs to travel further than 15 minutes then an additional fee of $48.49 will be charged. As per NDIS guidelines, a maximum of 30 minutes of travel time can be charged per session. The therapist will endeavour to minimise travel costs when possible.
Assessments
Assessments are priced at $193.99 per hour which includes both the face-to-face assessment time and the time taken to complete the report.
On average a formal assessment can take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours as it will include standardised assessment measures, parent interview, a comprehensive report and a follow-up meeting to discuss results. It may also require observations of your child in the environment of concern (e.g., day care, school).
An informal assessment will typically take 2-3 hours and will include an initial observational assessment (no standardised measures to be used), screening report (1-2 pages) and a parent interview to discuss concerns and set goals.
The need for a formal or informal assessment will be discussed with the caregiver as part of the initial intake process into the service as not all families will require a formal assessment.
Additional Costs
The following will be billed as a percentage of the hourly cost of $193.99 and is dependent on the time taken to complete (ex. 30min meeting will be charged as $96.99).
- Phone calls (greater than 10 minutes) with parents, teachers etc.
- Meetings (face-to-face/online) with parents, teachers or members of the child's extended health team (speech, psychologist etc.).
- Non face-to-face supports such as report writing (e.g., NDIS plan review reports), home therapy programs, and resource development for use outside of therapy sessions.
All fees will be discussed with the family prior to activities being undertaken.
